​Independent Baptist Seminary

Independent Baptist Seminary (formerly Capitol Baptist Bible Institute) offers undergraduate and graduate degrees. Courses of study are designed to train Christian men and women who have a desire to serve the Lord in the local church. Classes can be taken for credit or for audit if you simply desire to strengthen your knowledge of the Lord and His Word. Class formats include in-person classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, modules, online courses, and correspondence.

Youth Ministry

Our youth ministry is focused on strengthening and developing our young people to become the next leaders in our local church. The theme for our youth group is "Rooted in Christ." Young Christians must be rooted in Christ deeply so they can withstand in difficult times.

Youth Camp

Our annual youth camp is open to juniors and teens. The focus of our camp is centered around:
  • Daily strong and helpful Bible preaching
  • Devotional time in the morning and evening
  • Songs and testimonies during chapel services
  • Wide variety of activities and competition on the island

Radio Ministry - WIHW-LP 96.1 FM

WIHW 96.1 is a 24/7 radio station with Bible preaching and Christ-honoring music. This station mainly reaches the city of Dover and surrounding areas. You can also listen to our station through our website or the TuneIn smart phone app.

Church Planting

Church planting has been part of the heart of Capitol Baptist Church for many years. There are many opportunities to get involved in the church planting ministry of Capitol.
