More than two years ago, God stirred the hearts of the members of Capitol Baptist Church in the area of church planting.  We began to pray for the area where God would have us plant an Independent Baptist Church and believe that the Lord has led us to Easton, Maryland.  Easton Baptist Chapel is an extension ministry of Capitol Baptist Church.  It is under the authority of Capitol Baptist Church and is subject to its Statement of Faith, Constitution and By-laws.  Easton Baptist Chapel was begun with the intention of becoming an autonomous, indigenous, independent Baptist Church and will do so as the Lord leads and Capitol Baptist Church directs. 

Those wishing to join in membership can do so by joining Capitol Bapist Church.  They can then transfer their membership when Easton Baptist Church is established.  Membership is accepted by those who have been scripturally saved, baptized and are in doctirnal agreement.
