Teen Sunday School

 

(7th-12th grade)

Every Sunday at 9:45 a.m.

The teen Sunday School class is now starting a series of lessons on "Becoming a First Century Church". It is important for us to understand what the Bible teaches about Church. Why do we go to an Independent Baptist Church? Many people today do not know why they attend a certain church...The answers must be found in the Bible.

The Goals for this series:

1. To desire to become a first century Church

2. To understand the importance of church membership and to know the responsibility of each member

3. To move forward by faith in God and attempt great things for Him

4. To keep Christ as the goal and to be obedient to Him

5. To seek God for His power to do His work and cease to live in the energy of the flesh.

Studying the book of Philippians

The book of Philippians is a great book to study because it guides us to a life of true joy in Christ. The Aposlte Paul is going to encourage these believers to find thier sufficiency in Christ. As we study each chapter we will understand the following truths...

In Chapter 1 - Christ is to be our Life

In Chapter 2 - Christ is to be our Pattern

In Chapter 3 - Christ is to be our Goal

In Chapter 4 - Christ is to be our Sufficiency

Before Christ can become our sufficiency he must first become our life, our pattern and our goal. When these truths are present in our lives then we can say as the Apostle Paul, "rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice."

 

Every teen is encouraged to memorize the book of Philippians...All who will complete the entire memorization of this book will go on a fun activity!
